Car rental in Lviv, Ukraine
Need a car in Lviv — for business, a weekend away or a trip to the Carpathians? Rent one from NarsCars and travel at your own pace, free from timetables. Where to pick up the car and how delivery works
The NarsCars office is at 18 Volodymyra Velykoho St.
- Sales team (bookings and enquiries) — daily from 9:00 to 19:00: phone +380 67 120 73 18, Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp. You can book a car online on the website at any time — a manager will confirm the booking during working hours.
- Car pick-up and return — daily from 9:00 to 18:00: at the office, at the railway station or at your address.
- Outside working hours (18:00 to 9:00) pick-up and return are by arrangement, with a €45 surcharge.
At the office the customer receives the car, the keys and a condition report. You can also pick up and return the car at Lviv railway station (1 Dvirtseva Sq). Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport is currently closed to flights, so instead of an airport pickup we deliver the car to any address in Lviv or hand it over at the railway station. Paid delivery to an address in the city (a hotel or office) is also available, as well as delivery to other locations — Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovel, Truskavets, Stryi and Drohobych. If you plan to leave the car in another city, this can be arranged with the One Way service.
Flying to Lviv? Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport has had no passenger flights since February 2022. Visitors from abroad usually fly to Poland (Kraków, Rzeszów or Katowice) and take the train to Lviv Main Railway Station. Give us your train number when booking and our manager will meet you at the station (Dvirtseva Square, 1) with the car and paperwork. Rental options
NarsCars offers several options to suit your route, term and whether you need a driver.
Self-drive
Self-drive is the basic rental format. The customer chooses a model in the catalogue and uses the car for the whole term of the contract. You may drive within government-controlled territory of Ukraine; you may not enter combat zones, temporarily occupied territories or come within 50 km of them — this is a condition of the rental contract. Self-drive car hire in Lviv is available from one day, with no maximum term. The mileage limit is 300 km per day and up to 4,500 km per month — extra kilometres are charged separately, and for long routes around the region or to the Carpathians you can add the Unlimited Mileage option. The car is handed over with a full tank, a clean interior and an inspection report recording the condition of the body at handover. It is returned in the same condition at the time set in the contract.
This option suits trips with a flexible schedule: day trips to Ivano-Frankivsk or Truskavets, multi-day routes through the Carpathians, or a replacement while your own car is being repaired or serviced.
Daily hire
Daily hire is designed for short trips when you need a car for a specific purpose without long-term commitments. It covers weekend trips to the Carpathians, two-day business trips and holiday journeys. Daily car hire in Lviv is calculated as a fixed 24-hour period from the moment the keys are handed over to the customer. The period starts when the handover report is signed and ends at the same time the next calendar day. Running a little late? The first 2 hours after the agreed return time are free. If you need longer — for example, because of an air raid alert — just call your manager and we will extend the rental by another day at your rate. Extensions must be agreed with the manager at least one day before the contract ends, and earlier is better. Per-minute hire is not available.
Monthly and long-term car rental in Lviv
Monthly car rental in Lviv from €750 for 30 days: economy cars cost from €25 per day for rentals of 26 days or more.
Long-term car hire in Lviv starts from 1 month, and the best terms apply to rentals of 3 months or more. This option is designed for work projects lasting several months, replacing your own car during major repairs, and corporate needs without running a company fleet. The longer the term, the lower the daily rate: for example, an MG ZS or Suzuki Vitara costs €37 per day for 1–3 days and €25 from 26 days; a Toyota Camry costs €62 and €45. Payment is monthly. Mileage is up to 4,500 km per month, and the limit can be removed with the Unlimited Mileage option. CASCO and compulsory motor third-party liability insurance remain the company's responsibility for the whole period, as does scheduled servicing every 10,000 km. With a driver
Car hire with a driver in Lviv is available to both private customers and companies. It is chosen for business meetings with travel between locations, accompanying guests or transferring a working group between points along a route. The car is driven by a professional driver who knows the city.
The minimum term is one day, with no maximum. The price is calculated individually for each request and depends on the car class, the number of days and the route. Trips with a driver are made only within Ukraine. The service can be booked as a one-off trip or as a long-term contract with a dedicated driver for the whole term. Fleet by class
The NarsCars fleet has seven classes, and any model, subject to availability, can be delivered to Lviv:
- Economy — MG ZS.
- Mid-size — MG ZS 2025.
- Business — Toyota Camry 2024, Toyota Camry Hybrid 2024.

- Minivan — 7-seat Peugeot Rifter, Peugeot Traveller, Citroen SpaceTourer, Fiat Scudo, 9-seat Hyundai Staria.
- Premium — Toyota Prado, Volkswagen Touareg.
- Pickup — Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Peugeot Landtrek.
- Electric cars and convertibles — check availability in Lviv in the catalogue or with a manager.
Rental terms
A rental contract at the NarsCars Lviv office takes 10–15 minutes — in person or remotely via the Diia app. The rules rest on three basic conditions: confirming the driver's identity, choosing the deposit option and keeping within the mileage limits for the term of the contract.
Driver requirements
The car can be driven by a customer aged 21 or over with at least 2 years of driving experience. The set of documents is minimal and depends on citizenship.
Ukrainian citizens provide:
- a passport or ID card;
- a category B driving licence;
- a tax ID number.
Foreign nationals provide a national passport and an international driving permit, or a national licence with the name in Latin letters.
Deposit and protection against financial risks
As standard, a deposit is blocked on the customer's bank card — no money is charged, and the amount is released after the car is returned undamaged. The deposit depends on the car class — from €400.
Car hire with no deposit is available with the Full Protection package. Instead of a large deposit, only a refundable guarantee deposit of €100 (€1,000 for the premium class) is blocked; it covers traffic fines and other compensation under the contract. If there are no violations, the deposit is released on the day the car is returned with a full tank.
The company offers two options:
- Full Protection — subject to the rental agreement terms, zero financial liability for body damage, accidents, theft, wheels and glass, plus car wash and war-risk cover;
- without Full Protection — in the event of an accident or damage to the car, the deposit is withheld as a penalty under the contract.
Mileage, insurance and travel abroad
The mileage limit is 300 km per day and no more than 4,500 km per month. Extra kilometres are charged per km at the class rate, and for long trips you can add the Unlimited Mileage option, which removes the limits for the whole term.
In the event of an accident, the driver calls the police on 112, informs the insurer and notifies NarsCars before any repairs are carried out. If the incident is not recorded, liability is determined by the terms of the rental contract.
Travel to EU countries and Moldova is arranged with the Travel Abroad option — with the car returned to Ukraine only. Agree any trip abroad with the manager when booking.
Pick-up and delivery
Cars are handed over and returned at the NarsCars Lviv office at 18 Volodymyra Velykoho St daily from 9:00 to 18:00. The customer receives the keys, a full tank and a handover report recording the car's condition. Car hire in Lviv is also available with delivery to a city address — a hotel, business centre or office. Handover and return between 18:00 and 9:00 are by arrangement, €45. Cars are also delivered to Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovel, Truskavets, Stryi and Drohobych — the price depends on the distance. Returning the car in another city is arranged with the One Way option.
Rent a car in Lviv: daily hire, no deposit, minibuses
If you are looking for car sharing in Lviv, NarsCars daily hire is a simple alternative: book online in a few minutes and rent from one day. Daily car hire suits a weekend in the Carpathians, trips around the region or meeting guests at the station. Car rental with no deposit is available with Full Protection, and self-drive is the standard option — you drive the car yourself for the whole term.
For families and groups there are minibuses and vans — Peugeot Traveller, Citroen SpaceTourer, Fiat Scudo and the 9-seat Hyundai Staria; for trips out of town there are SUVs and crossovers, and business, premium and electric cars are also available. Car rental prices in Lviv depend on the class and the term: the longer you rent, the cheaper each day, and booking online gives an extra 10% discount.
Minivan, van and minibus hire without a driver
For a move, a group trip or a work crew you can rent a van or minibus without a driver — Peugeot Traveller, Citroen SpaceTourer, Fiat Scudo or the 9-seat Hyundai Staria. It can be driven on a category B licence, is handed over at the NarsCars office in Lviv, and, as with other classes, the daily rate falls the longer you rent.
Cheap car rental in Lviv
The cheapest option is the economy class: an MG ZS or similar from €25 per day for rentals of 26 days or more, and from €37 per day for 1–3 days. The longer the rental, the lower the daily rate. Booking online on our website saves another 10%, and with Full Protection no car deposit is required. Car rental prices
In Lviv the rental price depends on the car class and the length of the contract — each longer rate period lowers the daily rate: the 4–9 day rate is lower than the 1–3 day rate, a further discount applies from 10 days, and from 26 days the daily price is at its lowest. For example, an MG ZS or Suzuki Vitara costs €37 per day for 1–3 days and €25 from 26 days; the 9-seat Hyundai Staria minivan costs €110 and €65. Booking online on the website gives a 10% discount.
Driving tips for Lviv
The city centre is paved with cobblestones, so drive smoothly at up to 30 km/h. The main danger is grip: in rain, wet snow or ice, metal tram rails and cobblestones become much more slippery than asphalt. Slow down well before tram tracks, avoid harsh braking and sharp turns on the rails and keep a longer distance. Cross the tracks straight, without jerking the wheel. Long driving on uneven stone speeds up wear on bushings and stabiliser links and throws off the wheel alignment.
For through routes, use asphalt main roads outside the historic core. Peak traffic jams are at 8:00–10:00 and 17:00–19:00 on the roads into the centre from residential districts.
