Many new and bright restyled car models await motorists in Kiev and the whole country this year. The main attention of buyers will traditionally be focused on the class of crossovers and SUVs, because they account for three quarters of sales. In addition, PHEVs (rechargeable hybrids) and pure electric vehicles are of great interest to the public. Interest in the electrification of vehicles has arisen in the last 5-10 years and is not going to fade, which demonstrates the popularity of electric car rental in NarsCars and other rental companies.
Car dealerships in Ukraine are ready to offer their customers compact urban models with stylish design. Very soon, on the streets of Ukrainian cities, we will see new business class cars, compact city cars, popular sedans, hatchbacks, and C-class station wagons. Experts counted about 500 modifications and models of different classes, including vans and minivans.
Taking care of the environment: electric cars and hybrids
Despite the fact that some manufacturers were forced to postpone the launch of new models last year, the auto industry has now adapted to work in a pandemic. It is quite possible that most of the premieres will be held online, which turned out to be a very profitable format for automakers. Most of the car innovations are equipped with electric or hybrid engines, the most anticipated of which are:
- BMW i4 – promises to be one of the fastest sedans of the company, which is surprising, because only electricity is used for driving. The motor has 530 horsepower and accelerates to 100 km in 4 seconds;
- Audi e-tron GT – was presented as a concept back in 2018, has a luxurious, environmentally friendly interior, a separate electric motor for each axle (total power 582 horsepower), acceleration to hundreds in 3.5 seconds, a power reserve of 248.5 miles;
- Ford Mustang Mach-E – the crossover is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in just three seconds, the power reserve on a single charge is up to 300 miles. The range includes several models with rear or front wheel drive;
- Toyota RAV4 Prime – according to the company, this car with a hybrid engine is considered the second fastest of all models of the brand. Drives 42 miles on a single charge, after which the gasoline engine turns on. The SUV is equipped with all-wheel drive, advanced safety technology and driver assistance. Toyota rental –the optimal solution in different situations;
- Volvo XC40 и Polestar 2 – the company presents two models: the XC40 SUV (range of more than 200 miles, acceleration in 4.7 seconds) and the luxury fastback Polestar 2 (acceleration to 100 in 4.7 seconds, range of 275 miles);
- Lucid Air – a novelty in the luxury sedan class with a top speed of 200 miles, a range of 517 miles, acceleration to 96 km in 2.5 seconds;
- Nissan Ariya – compact electric crossover with front or rear wheel drive, cruising range of about 300 miles;
- Mercedes-Benz EQC – mid-size all-wheel drive SUV, acceleration from 0 to 100 in 4.8 seconds, power of 2 engines on each axle of 402 horsepower;
- Tesla Cubertruck и Roadster – the first model is considered the most anticipated electric car in the world, it will be produced in three modifications, differing in the type of drive and power. The second is a chic convertible with a range of about 620 miles and a speed of 250 m / h.
Cars for Ukrainian roads
A major revival is also expected in the crossover and SUV class. Carmakers have prepared several interesting models, such as:
- Toyota Land Cruiser 300 – will significantly increase its dimensions, will have a hybrid power plant;
- Mitsubishi Outlander – the crossover will be available in two versions with hybrid and naturally aspirated engines;
- Nissan Qashqai – the third generation of popular in Ukraine crossovers with hybrid motors;
- KIA Sportage – the most anticipated premiere of this year, powered by a freshly styled petrol or diesel engine with a distinctive tiger mask.
In addition, new items from the Jeep Wrangler (Rubicon 392 with a powerful 6.4-liter engine, acceleration to 100 in less than 5 seconds), a subcompact Chevrolet Trailblazer with a variety of wireless technologies, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive should appear in American showrooms.
Small crossovers Hyundai Venue (considered the smallest, has a brisk design and stylish interior) and Volkswagen VW T-cross will certainly appear in the rental. In the premium segment, customers will be pleased with the Hyundai Palisade, on average - the next generation Taxon. Rent a car in Kharkov and other cities, the KIA Rio X will be replenished with a ground clearance increased to 20 cm.
City Style
The developers have not forgotten about traditional passenger cars of different classes, although the demand for them has slightly decreased. So, this year the demanding public will be presented:
- Mercedes-Benz C-class – the lineup will consist of electrified hybrid engines and include a station wagon, coupe, convertible and sedan;
- Nissan 370Z – a classic sports car with a powerful engine and manual transmission;
- Peugeot 308 – the modification will grow in size, become more spacious and receive a hybrid version;
- Renault Megane – the hatchback will turn into an electric crossover that can travel up to 450 km on a single charge;
Skoda Fabia – popular station wagon with mild hybrid, naturally aspirated and turbo engines.
The NarsCars car fleet will also be replenished with new products. Among them, most likely there will be KIA K5 (a powerful, spacious sedan with a mass of electronics). Their models in the class of city cars will be presented by: Acura TLX (a luxurious mid-size car with a powerful engine and a spacious interior), BMW (models of the new generation of the fourth series), Mercedes E450 with air suspension and increased ground clearance, as well as Maybach and Mazda (models 3 and 6).
There are many interesting events expected in 2021 that should be followed closely. Sales start dates are not listed because they may vary due to quarantine restrictions in different countries.
