How to rent a car safely
Every year the service of long-term and short-term car rental is becoming more and more popular. This is a truly European approach in cases when the car is needed on a situational basis: to go with your family on a car tour, to the country house, on a business trip. There are quite a few official companies and individuals in Ukraine that offer rental of vehicles of different classes (from economy to premium).
It is interesting that foreigners prefer to choose even more expensive, but large and proven car rental, while Ukrainians are more often looking for cheaper offers. However, how justified such savings are and what to look for in order not to pay more than required, read below.
Private landlord or company
Despite the fact that a car is needed very urgently, you should not call the first ad that comes across in Google. Spend a little time, study the offers, reviews of rental companies: seriousness, reliability, level of service.
Think about what is more profitable for you: an official car rental without risks or a lease from a private owner who is not responsible for anything? You can choose a company by the following criteria:
- having your own active website with detailed rental conditions, reviews, and a fleet of cars. In addition, the site should contain the most useful information for the tenant, and the possibility of online booking is provided;
- check the quality of service by personally calling several selected companies;м
- if you intend to travel around Ukraine, it will be very convenient if the selected company has offices in other cities & mdash; so it will be easier for you to return the car;
- having decided on the class of the car, check the prices for it. Large companies often provide discounts for early booking and arrange promotions.
Who needs insurance
First of all, insurance is necessary for the renter himself, in order not to pay extra money if the conditions are met, getting into an accident. At the request of the client, additional insurance can be issued against theft and damage that occurred through no fault of the tenant. Visual selection criteria
Having decided on the class of the car, choosing the model and carefully reading the contract, you should personally inspect the car for:

- tire conditions — make sure the car «shod» seasonally and tires are not worn out;

All identified shortcomings must be recorded, otherwise you may be blamed for their appearance. If the manager refuses to do this, choose another car or company.
Read the contract carefully
